Kayla's Story

Hi! My name is Kayla Fischer, and I am the Business Manager for M.A.M.A.S. I have a 1.5 year old rainbow baby and have been with my husband, Jared, for almost 10 years! I experienced my first miscarriage in May of 2020 at 6 weeks, and almost lost my life. I didn’t know many people that had gone through that, so I felt very alone. I met our founder, Brylea, about 1 week after I unexpectedly lost my 2nd child, Creed, at 20 weeks in September of 2024. She had just started the online group and had so many visions of what she wanted it to be become! She asked me to join and, to be honest, I was eager to help distract myself from my grief. Thanks to Brylea’s heart and the immense support of the community, MAMAS is expanding every day and our ability to help families navigate loss grows. I’m beyond thankful to the brave, vulnerable women that have shared their stories with me and our group. It’s a privilege to walk through their grief, next pregnancy, infertility, and so much more!
